Immigration Litigation

Ahren Richter is an attorney who goes the extra mile for his clients. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 2010 majoring in Spanish Literature. Prior to starting law school, Ahren volunteered his time teaching English to immigrants in the Tucson community. While studying law at the James E. Rogers College of Law, he continued volunteering with the Volunteer Lawyers Program where he assisted indigent clients with family law based legal issues.

Immigration became Ahren's primary focus during law school. As a writer on the Arizona Law Review, he wrote a substantial paper on the application and impact of the fugitive disentitlement doctrine in the immigration context. He facilitated fund raising events as the vice president of the Immigration Law Student Association. He also litigated an asylum case while a student in the Immigration Law Clinic.

Following graduation, Ahren developed a solid motion practice as a criminal defense attorney at the Law Office of Hernandez & Hamilton, PC. As a “crimmigration” attorney at the Law Offices of Matthew H. Green, Ahren applies his criminal defense and immigration experience. This includes not only litigating criminal cases but analyzing the impact of criminal charges and convictions on immigration benefits. He has appeared in various immigration courts in Arizona, the Superior Courts of Pima and Maricopa County, and other lower courts.

Ahren has continued to develop his motion practice writing both trial and appellate briefs.  Ahren has also developed a range of abilities as an immigration attorney, including removal defense and affirmative relief, such as: adjustment of status, consular processing, naturalization, U-visas, and DACA.
